Welcome note
Croatian Chemistry Student Symposium is an exceptionally successful event organized by Student Section of Croatian Chemical Society, which has been held for four consecutive years. The guideline of the Symposium is the 'students for students' principle.
Everything began when few enthusiasts noticed that Croatian chemical community lacked an event which would give the students who are involved in scientific research an opportunity to present their work and exchange their experiences with other students.
Overall, about one hundred students from the several universities shared their experiences and accomplishments with a number of colleagues, had an opportunity to develop their presentation skills, as well as discuss and critically evaluate their work.
Croatian Chemistry Student Symposium has been recognized as a valuable project by the University of Zagreb, and as such was awarded a Rector’s Award for community service work in the academic and wider community.
Besides gathering students, Symposium also gathers numerous renowned scientists who share their experience and wisdom with the students, and whose support throughout the years has been of great importance.
It is my great honor to invite you on the behalf of the Organizing Committee to the 5th Croatian Chemistry Student Symposium, which will be held on the 27th of October 2018. at the Department of Chemistry at the Faculty of Science in Zagreb, Croatia!
Students who are involved in scientific research in the field of chemistry are most welcome to give an oral or poster presentation, and everyone else is invited to join the event and expand their scientific horizons.
