Abstract submission

Participants are welcomed to submit abstracts for the 5th CWCE.

All submitted abstracts will undergo a double-blinded review procedure. Short oral presentations will be selected on the basis of reviewers' recommendations and in agreement with the author(s). The same applies to the workshop abstracts.

WORKSHOPS

The workshops are planned for 90 min. Authors are welcomed to submit abstracts for workshops. Please, indicate this in the Registration Form. Due to other program arrangements and conference goals it might be imperative to split the audience into several smaller groups. Correspondingly, it might be necessary to repeat the workshops several times. The workshop schedule will be organized later in order to enable all attendees to participate in at least three different workshops. For more details on workshops contact: cwce@hkd.hr.

SHORT ORAL PRESENTATIONS

Selected contributions will be presented in form of short oral presentations by the abstract reviewers. Authors will receive a Note-of-Acceptance not later than October 1st 2022.

The time scheduled for a short oral presentation is 15 minutes (including 5 minutes for discussions). Please consider this information as tentative; the final decision regarding the time limits will be given when the total number of contributed abstracts is known.

Presenters will have an overhead projector and a beamer, operated by a notebook as well as the MS PowerPoint application at their disposal. Presenters may bring their presentation stored on USB memory stick (flash drive) or a CD/DVD.

The reviewers are encouraged to rate the proposals according to the criteria listed below:

  1. Relevance of the paper to the section and conference theme
  2. Theoretical framework and rationale
  3. Research design and methodology of data analysis (if applicable)
  4. Research findings (in the case or "research" paper) or description of good practice examples based on educational research ideas (in the case of "practice" paper)
  5. Implications for further research, teaching practice or educational policy
  6. Organization, structure and language of the text

Reviewers are encouraged to provide feedback for each criterion.

If their abstract is not selected as a short oral presentation the authors are recommended to present their work as poster. The number of abstracts per one author is not limited.

LANGUAGE

Authors are encouraged to submit their abstracts in English but abstracts may be submitted in Croatian.
